Miss Universe Asia 2025 Finalists Release Baby Turtles at Saba Beach to Support Conservation Efforts

GIANYAR – Amid their busy quarantine schedule, the finalists of Miss Universe Asia 2025 took time to participate in a meaningful social activity on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. Held at Saba Asri Sea Turtle Conservation in Gianyar, the 30 finalists joined a symbolic baby turtle (tukik) release at Saba Beach as part of a conservation and environmental awareness initiative.

Wearing white T-shirts, the finalists smiled brightly as they released the protected sea creatures into the wild together. The event served as both a hands-on conservation effort and a reminder of the importance of preserving marine biodiversity.

I Ketut Rahmadiana, Vice Chairman of Saba Asri Sea Turtle Conservation, expressed his joy at welcoming the 30 beauty queens representing various Asian countries. He emphasized how their presence significantly contributes to promoting Indonesian tourism, particularly in Bali.

“This is a great opportunity for promotion. Even the smallest promotional effort can have a big impact — especially when it involves Miss Universe Asia. The reach and exposure are tremendous,” he said.

He added that such events are not only vital for supporting turtle conservation but also for promoting Saba Beach as a beautiful and internationally appealing tourist destination.

As a reminder, Bali is proudly hosting the Miss Universe Asia 2025 pageant this year. The finalists are currently undergoing quarantine ahead of the grand finale, which will be held at Varuna, Taman Safari Bali, on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
